/ Accessibility — WCAG 2.1 AA
Accessibility statement
Rivelix is committed to making its site accessible to as many people as possible, aiming for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
/ Contents
01 Reference standard
The rivelix.ca site targets compliance with WCAG 2.1, level AA. This standard is widely recognized in Canada and Quebec as the reference for digital accessibility.
02 Conformance status
The site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. A final evaluation is under way and certain improvements are planned before the official launch.
03 Measures taken
- Validated colour contrast (≥ 4.5:1 for body text, ≥ 3:1 for interface elements).
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator on all interactive elements.
- "Skip to main content" link available at the start of every page.
- prefers-reduced-motion respected: animations are neutralized for users who request it at the operating-system level.
- Strict semantic HTML hierarchy: one H1 per page, sections labelled via aria-labelledby.
- Alt text written for visuals carrying information; purely decorative visuals are marked aria-hidden.
- FR-CA / EN bilingualism with hreflang tags correctly declared.
- Self-hosted, legible fonts at common sizes; layout remains fluid down to 320 px in width.
04 Known limitations
- The 3D renderings and marketing visuals will be delivered in the final phase; their alternative text will be reviewed at that time.
- Manual screen-reader testing (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS) is scheduled before the official launch.
- Some forward-looking content carries a visual "À VALIDER" marker that will be removed before launch.
05 Evaluation method
The site is evaluated using a combination of automated and manual tests:
- automated tests in continuous integration on every change (axe-core, Lighthouse);
- manual audit before the official launch: full keyboard navigation, screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver), 200% and 400% zoom, CSS disabled.
